Cat passport

My naughty tomcat Vega enjoying the laundry

When I came to the country a few days ago, I had to fetch my cat, which I took on the flight with me, at the animal inspection. After people sent me to at least three different places I at last found my poor cat in the cage. The customs officer didn't speak a word of English, but suddenly 3 - 4 persons stood around me, each one asking me the same questions. There was obviously a change in regulations and everyone was confused. They confiscated my cat passport and told me I had to send them an original statement from the vet in Switzerland to get it back, although all the essential official stamps and documents were in the cat passport.
Since I already stood there for 1 hour, my driver was waiting outside and my cat was in a desolate state after more than 14 hours caged in the freight room, I begged them to let me go and I would send them all the necessary documents. Once I arrived in the apartment, I called my vet in Switzerland to send me such a statement, which arrived yesterday.
I wanted to bring it to the post office today, but guess what, this morning, someone from the reception desk delivered an envelope to me that contained my cat passport. Of course no one could explain to me why I got it back and why the whole fuss was made about it. But who cares.

Yes, I did get my cat directly at the animal inspection.
